Kids Dance Birthday Party Ideas

A dance party theme for any children's party enables the children who love to boogie to bop the evening away while the more shy guests can spend time enjoying the music and taking part in other organized activities. Host a dance-themed party for any birthday or other special event on the tight or elaborate budget and send your guests home with a keepsake token from the event.

Refreshments

Serve snacks like you would find in a traditional dance. Have a punch bowl with fruity punch within it, and provide finger food snacks like pretzels or popcorn. Incorporate your dancing theme by decorating your cake with black-licorice records or piped icing musical notes. Use record album covers for party platters and CD cases for coasters. By doing this, you're incorporating your theme to your food presentation as well.

Activities

Employ a dance instructor to come and teach your party guests several moves. You can probably obtain a teacher from a local studio to ask you for an hourly fee. For an inexpensive option, inquire if one of the studio's older students could be willing to come in; a teenager having a history of dance lessons can instruct your children, and you can pay what you would normally pay a babysitter. Ask the teacher to tailor the moves to children making the lesson upbeat and simple for all guests. You can even ask who owns the dance studio to provide you with a set of discount coupons to pass to your guests, in case they want to sign up for regular classes. For a fun craft idea, let young girls at a ballet party make tutus that belongs to them. Give each girl an overall length of satin ribbon; this is the belt of the tutu, therefore it should be long enough to tie round her waist. Then cut strips from tulle fabric in fun colors, and allow the girls knot the strips round the ribbon. When they have filled the midsection from the ribbon with tulle, they can tie it on for any quick and easy tutu to wear home in the party. If your party includes girls and boys, maybe they can make dancing hats or colorful bandannas using fabric paints instead.

Party Favors

Create a dance CD for each party guest. You can buy a CD compilation at the shop or make one on your pc using a CD burner. Include music of varieties for a collection of dancing hits. Be sure to include the tracks from the dance lesson to allow them to practice the moves they learned in the party after they get home. Include dancing accessories inside your party favor kits. In case your party is ballet-themed, you might give each guest a tiara or perhaps a sheer scarf. If your party leans toward the rap or jazz variety, you can give each guest a colorful bandanna or perhaps a pair of kid-friendly sunglasses.
